FEBRUARY '10: A brief introduction to our Technique
These four classes will give you a quick fire intro into the concepts behind the Technique which says, 'Acting is living truthfully, moment to moment, within a given set of circumstances'. You will cover the main principles of repetition, knock at the door, independent activity and preparation. The sessions will be both intensive and revelatory and will aim to give you a solid base from which to take your further practice and exploration.
Dates: Thursdays,February 11, 18, 25 & March 4

FEBRUARY '10: Unlikely bedfellows? Meisner & Coward
We'll be looking at a couple of key plays from the delightful Noel Coward - with winter months to get through, wonderful words and humour won't go amiss.
We'll explore how the Technique allows us to find our truth and allow us to connect with heightened language and larger-than-life characters.

MARCH '10: Taking on the Bard: Meisner & Shakespeare
It's a longer month, which makes it the perfect time to take on the work of Shakespeare. Not the Complete Works, for sure - but sonnets, monologues, battle scenes, gender identities, forbidden love ... we'll pack as much exploration as we can into these five weeks, coupling the Technique with the language, imagery and poetry that characterises this work to give us both confidence and depth.
Dates: Mondays March 1, 8, 15, 22 & 29th

Niki Flacks' Mind/Body workshop
Niki Flacks's unique work is known to actors around the world. We're delighted to welcome her back for a four-session course open to both 'beginners' and those who have worked with her before.
Dates: March 8, 9, 15 & 16

Niki Flacks' Shakespeare workshop
Are you up for a challenge? Five days of rehearsal with “Flacksing” to prepare and then two performances at the Landor Theatre. This time it’s Shakespeare! We’ll do a “greatest hits” selection of wonderful scenes to offer every actor a chance to explore character, the rich language of the text and the emotional journey of a Shakespeare scene.
Limited to ten actors - so register your interest now. You will receive your scene when your place is confirmed so you can begin to memorize.
Rehearsal: March 18, 19, 22, 23 & 24
