The Impulse Company faculty comprises Artistic Director Scott Williams, Mike Bernardin, Britta Gartner, Kate Maravan,
Lindsay Mohun and Jacqui-Lee Pryce. With the exception of Scott, all are also actors, moving between teaching and performance,
and some also teach elsewhere. Check our schedule of classes to see who is currently teaching with us.
Lindsay Mohun trained at RADA in the late 60s and worked as an actor, mainly in TiE, for a couple of years before drifting sideways into an alternative career in communications, marketing and fund-raising - a career which, with parenthood, occupied her for the next 25 years.
In 1997, with the Big Five Oh staring her in the face and an awareness of much 'unfinished business', she got her Equity card back, joined the Actors' Centre, and signed up for the scariest acting course she could find - A Weeklong Introduction to the Meisner Technique, with Scott Williams. She's been working with - and, since 2001, for - Scott ever since.
She began administering The Impulse Company in 2001 and to teach in 2002 - taking the approach that she, as an actor, would share what she knew and what she'd discovered with other actors.
Since beginning work for the Company, she's seen it grow to offer both the First and Second Year courses, as well as an increasing variety of discrete courses. Lindsay teaches mainly introductory courses as well as the Tuesday afternoon drop ins.
